Years of Greek Fest in Cleveland
Rooted in Community
For 16 years, Kamm's Corners Greek Fest has brought the warmth, food, and culture of Greece to the neighborhood we call home. What started as a modest community gathering has grown into one of Cleveland's most beloved annual celebrations, drawing thousands of visitors each Labor Day Weekend.
Savor the authentic flavors of Crete, enjoy lively Greek music, live dance performances, and dance the night away — just like you're in Greece. Best of all, it's free parking and no admission, so the whole family can join in.
The festival is hosted by the Cretan Club of Cleveland (George Varouh Cretan Club) at West 168th & Lorain Avenue — a cornerstone of Cleveland's Greek-American community. Every year, volunteers, families, and community members pour their hearts into making Greek Fest a reality. From the cooks preparing lamb shanks and pastitsio from scratch, to the dancers rehearsing traditional Cretan steps, to the bakers making baklava by hand — this festival is a true labor of love.
The Spirit of Greece
Greek culture is built on three pillars — food, music, and community. Greek Fest celebrates all three.
Authentic Cuisine
Every dish served at Greek Fest follows time-honored recipes passed down through generations. From slow-roasted Antikristo lamb to hand-rolled loukoumades, the food is the real thing.
Live Music & Dance
Traditional Greek and Cretan music fills the air all weekend. Watch — or join — the dancers as they perform the pentozali, syrtos, and other dances that have united Greek communities for centuries.
Community & Welcome
Greek hospitality — philoxenia — means love of the stranger. Everyone is welcome at Greek Fest, whether you have Greek roots or are discovering the culture for the very first time.
About the Cretan Center
The Cretan Club of Cleveland was founded by immigrants from the island of Crete who settled on Cleveland's West Side in the early 20th century. They built the Cretan Center as a home away from home — a place to speak their language, practice their faith, and keep their traditions alive for their children and grandchildren.
Today, the Cretan Club of Cleveland continues that mission. Greek Fest is its signature public event — an open invitation to the entire Cleveland community to experience Greek culture firsthand. The proceeds from the festival support the center's ongoing cultural, educational, and community programs.
